I've had similar problems with Algotels. I booked, and went to cancel (which was allowed under my booking) and couldn't get in touch with anyone online, via their phone number and sent an email. After reading reviews of the scams (wish I had read before booking) I called the hotel directly to ensure Algotels actually made the reservation.
