Reference Klipsch are good speakers, just get large ones for better sound. I like my surrounds to be large too for balance, and Atmos too. This weekend I finally got an Atmos-capable receiver, a Sony STR-DH790. I've had the DH770 for years and was pretty satisfied with it… I've tested this with about a dozen Atmos movies, varying formats, and sampls from HD Trailers, but nothing kicks out that overhead sound on the 5.1.2 format. edit to add the Auto Calibrate works if I set either 5.1.2 or 7.1 patterns and calibrate, and sound does produce from those top ceiling speakers during that process.1 Andy3105 Prominent Member Jul 10, 2021 #3 Qq gibbsy said: Front Dolby is for upfiring speakers so ignore.
